A crown or five shilling coins was minted in 1937 to 1938.

Crowns were struck to commemorate the coronation of George V1 in 1937

The commemorative appeal made this coin unpopular at the time and after it was minted again in 1938 it became known as Casey’s cartwheel ,as Casy was Treasurer at the time and pushed hard for this coins minting.
