UK Pre Decimal Proof Set 1970, In original Case and Packaging.

UK Pre Decimal Proof Set 1970 by The Royal Mint. In original Case and Packaging.
A lovely set of size and shape variation.
The images are of one of the sets I currently have, but I'm lucky enough to have 2 sets at the moment, with both in similar condition.
Country: UK, Great Britain
Denominations: Half Crown, Florin, Shilling (1x English and 1x Scottish), Sixpence, Threepence, Penny and Half Penny.
Monarch: Elizabeth II
Year: 1970
Grade: Brilliant Uncirculated. Slight toning evident (as is common with older proof sets). Please look at the pictures carefully.
Mint: Royal Mint
The cardboard outer has some very slight scuffs and there may be small marks to the plastic case. What is unusual about this set is that it still has it's original Royal Mint Numismatic Bureau outer envelope, which has seen better days. The envelope is broken open at one end and has some dirt and staining.
This is one of those sets that I love handling. It's an oddity in UK coinage as no pre-decimal coins for circulation were issued after 1967. This set was issued when some decimal coins were already in circulation and the full conversion to decimal happened in 1971.
Additional Notes: All coin gradings are my own and I would strongly suggest that you study the images carefully as they are an integral part of this listing.
