A relic medal. A medal from the early 20th century taken from the propeller of the USS
Olympia , the American flagship at the battle of Manila Bay in 1898. Strange story in
that the propeller was taken off and used to strike commemorative medals because
the ship was on the way to be scrapped, even after much public outcry. By an unlikely
turn of events the ship ended up restored anyway and is still around, minus its
propeller.
